manhattan is an island
Manhattan ist ja eine Halbinsel und um Manhattan mit den anderen boroughs wie Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx und Staten Island zu verbinden benötigt es Brücken. Die wohl berühmteste und auch von Touristen meist besuchte Brücke ist die Brooklyn Bridge. Jedoch hat New York eine vielzahl von Brücken. Eine davon ist die Williamsburg Bridge die Manhattan mit Williamsburg, also Brooklyn verbindet und ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß von unserem Appartment entfernt ist. Dominick und ich sind dann die über die Williamsburg Bridge gelaufen. Hat echt Spaß gemacht und vorallem ist die Williamsburg Bridge nicht so überlaufen an schönen Tagen wie die Brooklyn Bridge. Die Brücke mündet dann in die Delancy Street ungefähr 5 Blocks von dem Apartment in Chinatown entfernt in dem ich im Jänner gewohnt hab. Dominick und ich haben uns dann noch einen Donought bei "New York Donought" gekauft. War echt lecker... Den rest des Nachmittags haben wir dann in Chinatown verbracht.
